Stripey Privacy Policy

Stripey is a golf scoring app for playing games with your group. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we don't run ads, we don't sell or share your data with data brokers, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we store your email address and a unique account identifier. Your profile also includes the display name and optional avatar you choose.
• Golf activity. Rounds, scores, game results, courses played, and the players in your rounds — this is the content of the app.
• Friends. Your in-app friends list, built from rounds you play together or requests you accept. We never access your phone's contacts.
• Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store the device token Apple issues so we can send them (for example, when a round starts or a score changes).
• Purchase status. If you subscribe to Stripey Pro, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple. Our payment partner, RevenueCat, validates the purchase and tells us whether your account has an active subscription. We never see your payment details.

How we use it

Only to provide the app: syncing live scores with your group, showing your history, sending the notifications you've enabled, and unlocking Stripey Pro features. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Where it lives

Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider, hosted in the United States) and subscription status with RevenueCat. Both act as processors on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.

What other players see

Golf is social: players in your rounds see your display name, avatar, and scores for those rounds, and friends see your profile. Your email address is never shown to other players.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the app (Me → Delete account), which permanently removes your profile and personal data from our systems. You can also email us at the address below and we'll delete it for you.

Children

Stripey is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
